Not really sure, I just noticed that there were constantly errors in our tests because they would try to connect to peers via ports 6000-whatever, as opposed to the 5100-5900. I figured it would be okay to comment out the peer ports, but perhaps it was not. This edit should not have taken down my entire server, correct? Have you ever heard of any reboot/server problems being reported for RHEL 6.8? I did not mess with any system critical files, so I don’t understand why my server is hanging.



This value must be specified in the config file so please rollback to previous setting.  You are probably mixing two types of ports: peer for control and test for testing. For details about ports see:

You may want to change values for instance when you have some strict fw policies but not remove it.
