Sure, I like the fact I can leave Perfsonar there and generally it just
keeps ticking over :-)
But I had documented the processes for how to update the mesh
configurations, and when it came time to update them, that's when it hit.
Debian package guidelines are a pain. If you look at a package like
exim, say: every other OS packages it the way the author intended (under
/usr/exim, and he gave very good reasons for doing that). Except Debian
has to repackage it a completely different way.
