James:

One option to consider is to install CentOS7 (or even Debian 8) on the hosts, and then run perfSONAR in a CentOS6 LXC container.

I dont know of anyone yet doing this, but it should work fine.

(I do run bwctl/iperf3 in LXC containers a lot, and the performance is the same)

Hi,

The current plan is to provide CentOS 7 packages with the next major release this Fall. That probably means we’ll have some betas in the late summer. This of course is all subject to change since we are still a few months out, but that’s the current plan.

Thanks,
Andy

Hi all,

Apologies if this has come up before, but I was wondering what the state
of perfsonar support on CentOS 7 is.

I have a collection of ~100 nodes I am trying to configure (with Puppet)
to act as a full mesh at 1G for regular testing (internally), but as the
nodes are remotely located I'm not very keen on deploying new CentOS 6
nodes given it'll be EOL in 4 years.

Cheers,
James
