You are correct that at the moment perfSONAR on Debian and Ubuntu is only 
officially supported for option 1 and 2.  The Measurement Archive (MA) is 
only part of the perfSONAR Core, Central Management and Complete packages and 
currently fully supported only on CentOS.

Option 1, the perfSONAR Tools, contains only the measurement tools (mainly 
bwctl, owamp and iperf).  You can do measurements from it manually, but we 
don’t call it a Measurement Point (MP) as it cannot be integrated in a 
perfSONAR measurement setup including other MP and MA.  If you install the 
Option 2, the perfSONAR Testpoint, you will have the Lookup Service, the 
Regular Testing daemon, the OPPD and the mesh-config agent that will enable 
this node to be a true MP and to fully take part in a multiple MP 
measurements setup, including sending measurements for storage in a remote MA.

That being said, we’re currently finishing the upcoming 3.5.1 perfSONAR 
release that will contain a first beta release of all the different 
installation options for Debian and Ubuntu, thus including the MA.  This 
should be available in a few weeks at most.
