I realized that nobody knew what I was talking about and probably just
thought I was being argumentative.

So here are 3 attached examples from SNMP OIDs graphed in Cacti at very low
cost, if the pics don't get clipped out by the listserv. Times are two-way
delay measured with TWAMP.

First graph is from campus routed cores thru the first switch, which *is*
basically instantaneous. Second (just started Weds) is from campus routed
cores thru a few switches to the north side of the firewalls. Third is from
campus cores thru the firewalls and IPSes to the north side of the edge
routers, just before it leaves to ISPs and I2.
