Hi Joon,

I have a 2GB/32GB LIVA X sitting in front of me that I installed with Ubuntu 12.04.5 Desktop without any hiccups. Just put it on a USB stick, booted from that, and installed to the local storage. Could you try with that and see if it helps?

The workaround “hack” suggested by the user “vijayan2” *does* work. The Ubuntu 14.04 Desktop image on a USB stick does detect the eMMC storage (although after an error message: "fsyncing/closing /dev/mmcblk0rpmb intput/output error”)

Did anyone experience this, and does anyone know how to install the server version directy on the LIVA X box?
