Hello all, I plan to do a regular throughput test between any two ps nodes using bwctl command line tool. I have done some tests like the below: 1. I chose these two nodes, I got the feedback. # bwctl -s perfsonar.nst.musc.edu -c ps-1.oit.umass.edu -t 30 bwctl: Using tool: iperf bwctl: 60 seconds until test results available RECEIVER START ------------------------------------------------------------ Server listening on TCP port 5232 Binding to local address 192.80.83.69 TCP window size: 87380 Byte (default) ------------------------------------------------------------ [ 15] local 192.80.83.69 port 5232 connected with 128.23.0.73 port 52272 [ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth [ 15] 0.0-30.2 sec 3464364032 Bytes 918552954 bits/sec [ 15] MSS size 1448 bytes (MTU 1500 bytes, ethernet) RECEIVER END 2. When I changed the receiver to my ps node, I met the following error. bwctl -s perfsonar.nst.musc.edu -c pr20.uml.edu -t 30 bwctl: Using tool: iperf bwctl: 39 seconds until test results available RECEIVER START bwctl: Remote 'client' (perfsonar.nst.musc.edu) never initiated handshake: listening at port(6108) - canceling RECEIVER END Does it mean that my node misconfigures something? How do I know that any perfSONAR node has enabled the service? Best, Chen |
