Hi Chen,

The unsupported tool was part of the effort of the European perfSONAR team 2,5 years ago. It was called Traceroute MP and it was tested as part of our assignments of the German team. I am not sure if one can find the code publicly available and I am writing to you away from the office .... being on vacation.
Even if you manage to have it deployed across the toolkits, you will have to deal with another problem. There is no GUI for it. You can imagine this requires some form of central user interface and you'll have to use NMWG schema to communicate with the OPPD service.
Are you willing to share your use case here or on the developer list in order that it is reviewed and possibly taken in consideration for later development effort.

Best regards,
Ivan

Hi Ivan,

Thank you for your reply.

What’s that unsupported tool you mentioned?

Hi Chen,

Unfortunately this is impossible!

OPPD supports only BWCTL and OWAMP tests.
My guess is you are not interested in an unsupported tool, which gave OPPD the ability to request such tests.

Best regards,
Ivan

Hello all,

I plan to get the tracepath from my perfsonar node to others by starting a traceroute test. Does anyone know how to send a traceroute test requirement (the uri and the xml template) through OPPD?

Thanks,

Chen
