Hi,

Unfortunately, the bwctl configuration syntax doesn’t support this mode. You may be able to work around it by defining a hostname in /etc/hosts that has both the v4 and v6 address for that interface, and telling bwctld to use it.

Cheers,
Aaron

Hi Brian,

This is the daemon configuration, right now I can only enable the daemon to listen on v4 or v6, but not both.  I can make out-bound bwctl run on either v4 or v6.
I only want to enable on one interface, otherwise, by default, bwctld will listen on all interfaces and on v4 and v6.

Thank you.

The tests will default to V6, but you should be able to do a V4 test by using the bwctl -4 flag.
Did you try that?

Hi all,

I have a two NIC perfSONAR node, one NIC is used for owamp, while the other was used for bw only.  Therefore, I have a very simple bwctld.conf file as follows:

log_location
src_node        ipv4-address:4823
#src_node [ipv6-address]:4823
peer_port       6001-6200
facility        local5
group   bwctl
nuttcp_port     5301-5600
owamp_port      5601-5900
iperf_port      5001-5300
user    bwctl

This works only for the ipv4 address on one interface, now I would like to make ipv6 test available.  I thought that I might be able to add a line below the ipv4, simply by adding the ipv6 address in the configuration above (with # at the moment).  If remove #
#src_node [ipv6-address]:4823
Restart bwctld, only ipv6 test is available.  How could I make both ipv4 and ipv6 tests available on the same NIC?  I would really appreciate if someone could guide me to the right direction.

Thank you.
