Thanks Aaron.  Thats what I was afraid of.  I thought that might be the case.  Does the ssh login prompt query the lookup service as well?

The web interface should be available at:

https://[host address]/toolkit

There’s a patch you can try at http://ndb1.internet2.edu/~aaron/motd_internal_address.patch . To do this properly, we’ll need a better fix, but it should work for now. You can apply it by doing: patch -p 2 -d /opt/perfsonar_ps/toolkit -i /path/to/motd_internal_address.patch .

We're looking to upgrade our internal 35 or so nodes across the state to 3.4 and were looking at running an internal lookup service for our state wide measurement setup.  This has been very helpful in holding vendors accountable.  Has there been any new documentation on an internal lookup service?

Not that I know, unfortunately. I think some new documentation is coming Real Soon Now (tm), but I’ll need someone else to weigh in.

For Border, Science DMZ, and other research spots, we will have public IPs and operate normally.

Cheers,
Aaron

Thanks,
Ken

Hey Ken,

Unfortunately, that’s all grabbed from the lookup services. You may be able
to get it working with a private LS, but I’m not sure the specifics on what
you’d need to do beyond install the lookup-service RPM, and point the LS
registration daemons at it. There may need to be some changes in the graph
configuration too to point at that new LS.

Cheers,
Aaron

Hi all,

I'm using the ps-toolkit with OWAMP to test between 3 sites.  I currently
have them all configured with private IPs, RFC1918.  I have already update
the web_admin.conf file for private addresses.  However the capacity and
MTU are not showing up.  How do I get them to appear?

When I built these machines on public, everything worked ok.  Is there a
list of what services work on public vs private IP space?

Thanks,
Ken
