Peter,

Thanks for the feedback, glad to have one less live CD out there. :)

When you say "nothing seems to work", can you provide a little more
elaboration? I assume you're still trying to use NPAD, so does clicking the link drop
you into the NPAD web page? Does the Java applet run on the page (there have been
numerous issues with this related to more recent versions of Java)? Is the test
starting but unable to give information / correct information?

Part of this is pilot error, part of it may not be.

I can get to the toolkit page OK from the outside.

When I click on the NDT the page comes up, Java starts, but nothing (much) happens after it starts, just the "ok, here we go" message after clicking "start". In /var/log/messages, I am seeing:

[Thu Jan 15 11:03:13 2015] [error] [client <myworkstation>] Permission denied: path not allowed: /Tcpbw100_msgs_en_US.class

These all show up as "path not allowed" as well:

/Tcpbw100_msgs.class
/Tcpbw100_msgs.properties
/Tcpbw100_msgs_en.class
/Tcpbw100_msgs_en.properties

When I click the NPAD link, I get nada. Well, I get a new tab in the browser, but it sits and spins for as long as I care to let it. I don't see anything in the logs that correlates.

Where to now?
