Hi Xiang Ji,

I would recommend a clean new install unless you want to save any existing data.  It is very important to upgrade these nodes ASAP since there are numerous OS-related vulnerabilities for pre v3.4 instances.  Just be sure to save the information on hostnames, IPs, etc to use during the reinstall.

The NetInstall is usually the easiest path if you have network connectivity during the install.

The host of UVA perfSONAR are still using CentOS 5.11. And the version of our perfSONAR toolkit is 3.2.2. So if we want to update it to v3.4, does that mean we must install CentOS6 with perfSONAR 3.4 packet? I am the student administrator of our DYNES machines. I can SSH into the perfSONAR host and use command line. If I need to reinstall the CentOS6, which installation type do you prefer? NetInstall or full install?

Or is there a method to update the toolkit to v3.4 without reinstalling the system?
