Hi,
Has any progress been made towards bundling a HTML 5 front-end to NDT into the pS Performance Toolkit ?
Thanks,
John

Howdy Clark;
This has been a bit of a hot topic lately on a couple of mailing lists. I can try to outline two of the potential directions:
- Web100 on the pS Performance Toolkit will be phased out once there is a replacement in the form of a Web10G patched kernel and tools (e.g. NDT, NPAD, or others) that can use this new paradigm. We are working with the Web10G kernel team from on new patches, APIs, and an updated NDT in hopes of putting out an alpha version of the toolkit sometime before Summer of this year. When it is ready, this mailing list will be alerted. This doesn't address your Java question, but it sets the stage for new tool development, which we are encouraging the community to assist with.
- The MLab project created a new front end for NDT based on HTML 5 and a _javascript_ API (e.g. it does make calls to the NDT applet). We made some instructions on how to enable this for the current generation (3.2) of the pS Performance Toolkit. I am attaching the to this message if you are interested. This doesn't completely remove the Java requirement, but it does get closer if you wanted to try it out on the W&M campus.
Hope this helps, Thanks;
