Hi,

I worked with Rich Carlson back in 2010 to obtain a bootable CD to run the NDT server.

I know little to nothing about Linux, he created an iso image for me.

We’ve been using it for many years, and have even taken it to VMware.  Now I want to re-create a hardware server to perform this, that we can take into the field and test some isolated networks.

I re-burned the ISO that our VM is booting, and that won’t boot on any hardware I have available.  It reports it is unable to find a Knoppix file system and then drops me to knoppix# prompt, says it’s a limited shell with cat, mount, unmounts, insmod, rmmod, lsmod commands available.

I’ve tried this on a Lenovo Thinkpad, and a desktop with the same results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I’m at a complete loss.

Thanks,

Bob Chamberlain
