Well, it's perfsonar-clmp 2.1 and sql-ma 2.1, both running on debian lenny.

About the direct connection, yes, i'm able to access it directly.

Can you please specify what kind of MA nad MP products (and versions) you installed?

There could be several reasons for such error message. Are you able to connect directly to the database locally e.g. using http://your_service_url:your_port/exist/ ?
