Dear Vicky
Before we can find a proper solution for your problem, could you please 
send us some additional information:
1. Your Linux distribution
2. How did you install RRD-MA and eXist Database (from repository or 
from package?)
3. Is your eXist Database is standalone or webbapp application?
4. Did you configure your service using Basic Configuration?
5. Scrap of eXist Log file including your request from exist.log file 
(path depends on eXist installation).
6. Values of the following fields in 
/etc/geant2-java-rrd-ma/service.properties :
6.a. component.ma.xmldb.db_uri
7. Did you create this user and password in your eXist Database or by 
RRD-MA webadmin?

It will be very helpful if you attach these two config files to your reply:
/etc/geant2-java-rrd-ma/wizard.properties
/etc/geant2-java-rrd-ma/service.properties
If your URLs are diffrent from localhost you may want to replace it with 
"localhost" string to not publish information about your services.
