Thank you for preparing and running those test. I think they could be very useful.
One thing which comes to my mind is that you could also try running other types of test which is probably more reflecting NREN current situation: having registration of less services but with much more interfaces. This is rather the case in NRENs where a few RRD MA services register very large sets of data (100, 500 or 1000 interfaces).
I know that Internet2 experienced some problems with such large data sets so this may be helpful here and I think it would be interested to see such results.
