perfSONAR-BOUY will only be released in RPM due to resource and time 
constraints of developers.  The packages (and documentation) were tested 
on Fedora, CentOS, and RHEL.

You may try to convert using alien, but I am unsure what the results 
will be.  If you do get further with this attempt please let us know, I 
can add extra instructions to the documentation.
