Hi people,

That's not the problem. When you install a deb package manually with
dpkg, dependencies are not resolved and installed. You need to install
Tomcat5.5 manually (apt-get install tomcat5.5), and then do dpkg -i
<package>.

The warnings can be ignored, these are log files etc which are not
automatically removed by the old package. You can do a rm -rf
/opt/perfsonar/services/geant2-java-as to clean up old stuff.
