Hi all,

I managed to find the error, and the MP is now registering it's metadata to the LS. I will test this further tomorrow morning, and then create a new release for this. I'm very sorry for this, but I wasn't aware of this myself.

Andreas, I attached what I received as metadata for the registered MP. You can see that the different devices which are supported are there (in the different data block, there is a metadata block, which contains the device name in the subject element, and the device url as one of the parameter elements). There is no eventType though, so should I add this?.
Or do I have to change this to the syntax you proposed (for instance by creating a different file for registering, because this is the same one I now use as a metadata configuration file which the MP uses)?
You can keep your syntax. My main point was that the information needed for the "finding related MP" task is contained in the registration.

For the event type we have to define one (or several), I think. In a discussion with Verena it was not so obvious what would be the best choice. For the RRD MA and other services it is related to directly to the metric like utilization. For the Telnet/SSH MP there are potentially many "metrics" because you can do queries of BGP tables or execute many other commands. The event types may either describe all these capabilities individually (e.g. event type for BGP table), but then a list of event types may be quite long. A generic event type for the Telnet/SSH MP may be easier. This solution has the disadvantage that you cannot differentiate (in the LS) between the commands that can be executed on the devices. For example, one command may be allowed on several devices, but not on others.

Best regards
Andreas
