Hi Maxim,

The naming for the pinger package is up to you. It would be good to follow linux recommendations of course. Please let us know what you have named and where it can be downloaded from.

It would be nice to agree at the perfSONAR group level to install all services at one location (/opt/perfsonar/services) but we haven't gotten around to doing this at such a wider level yet (as you can see, we have our hands full with mdm release :))

Once your package is ready, we should have it downloadable from various locations. At least one of them being www.perfsonar.net.

Let me know if you have any questions.

thanks,
Loukik.

Based on naming conventions used for packages (in linux, etc), we found that _ must be used in specific places. Also, for some reasons, debian packages cannot have underscores in the names. To maintain similarity, we switched from _ to -

Maybe Guilherme has more points to add?

Hi,

Shouldn't the URL for the RRD-MA be geant2_java-rrd-ma (in /opt/perfsonar/tomcat/webapps), not geant2-java-rrd-ma ?
