Agreed. Result should be something like: SUCCESS and FAILURE... It is basically a status of the action.

Actions also need to be somehow standard, otherwise becomes harder later to treat it.

That's exactly what I thought, but I'm not certain whether this is achievable, considering the difference between the various services.

One more thing that I'm thinking about: syslog "knows" what priority a message is, but, unless e.g. we forward it to specific file, we can't determine the priority by just looking at the syslog entries (please correct me if I'm wrong.) So, perhaps we should also have the message priority "explicitly" written as part of the format?
