Hi,

The rpm's created with the rpm_maker.pl script won't. All developers 
should use the new "package_maker.pl" script, which added remove/upgrade 
functionality and also creates deb packages. The new RPMs will replace 
the old versions as long as:

- The old and new rpm's were created using the "package_maker.pl" script 
(this is mainly because name of packages is now converted to all 
lowercase, but the directory inside webapps can be any case [and the 
latter is what should be passed to the script]).
- The new rpm has a version number which is newer than the installed 
version.
- The command issued is rpm -U <package> (the rpm -i command will make 
all the necessary  modifications  for the new version to be active, but 
won't remove the old one).
