Hi Jason,

I got several questions in respect with the proposal:

1.1 Schema section:

- You mention "document class". What does this term means? All the 
document related to schema (class = group)?

- What is the publishable standard? It is undefined. I sit the "OGF Base 
Schema document"?

- Who is responsible for the maintenance of the "publishable standard"?

1.1.1 OGF Base Schema Document

The description provides what it will be used for but not what it will 
contain. My questions below aims at getting a better understanding of 
what this document does.

- Is the following the objective of the document:
"This document
• describes why the schema is as it is, what are the building blocs 
(data and metadata and how they relate to each other) and
• Must specify the relationships/combination between the blocks (data 
metadata) described with the syntax (RNC)  (e.g. you need at least one 
metadata, etc)
• Describes what is the relationship/difference between the OGF NM-WG 
and the perfSONAR schema. "

- Have you got an example for such document (it is a little bit abstract)

- "Details regarding specific aspects of the schema will not be 
available" means that no semantics and no information related to an 
eventType will be given here. Correct?

- Is it related to the nmbase.rnc?


1.1.3 Profile Document on Schema extension

- Should the profile the meaning, the values, the value ranges and unit 
of  elements/parameters?
(the semantics or is it part of the individual service documents).
E.g. the time is represented as an unix timestamp and the value is an 
integer representing the elapsed time in seconds since, etc. The time 
can also be expressed in YYYY-MM-DD-HH-SS where ...
