If you or somebody else will take responsibility to ensure co-ordination 
of these things across all web services, I would be happy to work with a 
"fix" in the servlet code for now.

My concern is setting the precedent. If we allow this fix now, we are 
not taking care of the root cause (missing co-ordination for such a 
thing). And because we want to do a lot of things in future with these 
servlets, we will end up with a lot of such "fixes". I would really like 
to avoid that.

So, will you take the lead here from next release onwards?
