Hello Nina,

Sorry haven't read my mail the last few days.

I recently took the client code under wing, since Gijs started working on
an other project. I was aware of the 1.5 requirement, I did setup the ide
to confirm to 1.5 compatibly but in the background it was still using the
1.6 sdk. I just picked up the break too while checking the source out on

For me it's fine to use a higher version, if the code is still compatible with 1.5
an other machine. (A Continuous integration server could have picked this
up. And a subversion hook could have prevented the code from ever being
check in altogether.) I will submit a fix tonight fixing the @override
annotations and JGroupLayout issues.

The ones of concer were @override anotations,  thanks for fixing those.

You could still use JGroupLayout, since Gijs found a way to use it under 1.5  (it relies on  swing-layout-1.0.jar which is already in jars folder of perfsonarui SVN tree )

As for revising the target version, I don't have the right data on the
penetration of version 1.6 with respect to the target audience. To make an
informed decision on that.

We had such discussion some time ago on the mailing list and decided so far 1.5. is the preferred one by the users. This could of course change at certain point later.

Best regards,
Nina
Kind regards,

Hi ,

Recently 1.6 code has been submitted to perfsonarui SVN. Consequently,
it failed to compile under 1.5, because of following errors:

We have aggreed some time ago to stick to Java 5 code. Could you please
follow this aggreement, or propose to revise it.

Best regards,
Nina
