perfsonar development work

Hi all,

As was initially brought up in Salvador, there's an important issue to  
be discussed about the new MA metrics related to active measurements.  
I guess the third and fourth points (ping and traceroute) relate  
directly to this, also having OWAMP and BWCTL data.

RNP is already making the modifications in the MA's to accept OWAMP,  
BWCTL (these two are done), ping and traceroute data from a CL-MP  
measurement. We are currently using the schemas used by CL-MP for each  
tool for the store and response actions of the MA's.

Although perfSONAR MP's should follow the same schema for the same  
type of result from a specific tool, I don't know if this applies to  
different MA's. Of course the response from RRD-MA and SQL-MA will be  
very different, but maybe the response from HADES MA and SQL-MA  
relating to, for example, OWAMP raw data (I don't actually know if  
HADES returns this kind of data) should follow a common schema to make  
it easier for visualization tools (perfSONAR UI) to display data from  
the different MA's. I couldn't find a "Interface Specification"-like  
document for HADES MA, to see exactly the type of messages it returns  
and whats is perfSONAR UI currently getting (didn't find much in the  
wiki).

So, should we continue to make SQL-MA's response's based on the CL-MP  
schemas (that I believe are currently following the default tool's  
schemas defined in base) and give this specification to the perfSONAR  
UI's developers to add support for this?
