I'm going to try and re-pull the list together based on the feedback so far. And I'm adding my own personal favorite service. ;) :

Services:
- utilization RRD MA (Other metrics? Who can work on it?)
- SQL MA (utilization/L2 path status) [Potential plug-in interface if ready]

Amongst the additional metrics I (For Dante) would wish to see (note that we haven't decided yet for which MA to go for), I would mention:
- Input error (which one/s is/are the most meaningfull?)
- Output drops (per interface, per queue/service)

Input errors:
Errors: 0, Drops: 0, Framing errors: 7, Runts: 0, Giants: 0, Bucket drops: 0, Policed discards: 0, L3 incompletes: 7, L2 channel errors: 0, L2 mismatch timeouts: 0, HS link CRC errors: 0, HS link FIFO overflows: 0
Output errors:
Carrier transitions: 1, Errors: 0, Drops: 0, Aged packets: 0, HS link FIFO underflows: 0, MTU errors: 0
Queue counters: Queued packets Transmitted packets Dropped packets
0 best-effort 11217905899 11217905899 0
1 expedited-fo 52450263 52450263 0
2 less-than-be 1202484432 1202484432 0
3 network-cont 6233149 6233149 0

- LS (single + [multidomain - only with serious work])

Szymon mentioned that multi-domain will not be ready for that release.

- ALCATEL NMS MP

If I had to remove a service for this list, this is the one I would remove as it is specific to a vendor used only by two networks. In addition, there is no pressing need from JRA4 to provide such feature in the next few months.

- SNMP MP
- TELNET/SSH MP
- Command-Line MP (bwctl, owamp, ping [perhaps even ntpq, traceroute])

Other:
- performance targets (we need to quantify, but it would be good to set expectations)
- scheduled measurements (used by what services?)

To all, please mention which service need it released by September.

- result codes

Must be for all the service released.

- LS registration and keepalives, etc must be for all the services released.

- jUnit tests

Yes.

- push [only with more work]

My 2 cents.

Cheers,
