Introduction to Canvas for the Internet2 community

You're invited to join us for an introduction to the Internet2 NET+ Canvas Program.

Recently Instructure and Internet2 announced a partnership to develop the Internet2 NET+ Canvas Service to provide the Canvas learning management system for teaching, learning and administration. 

The University of Washington (UW) sponsored the development of Canvas as an Internet2 NET+ Service. Along with UW, the other universities that helped develop the offering will form an advisory board to guide future product development. This service will be initially available to Internet2’s 221 higher education member institutions.

The Internet2 NET+ Canvas includes all the current features of Canvas, including SpeedGrader, migration tools, web services integrations, mobile access support, analytics, ePortfolio, as well as custom and unique features and integrations designed for the Internet2 community, such as SAML2 federated identity.

The webinar presenters will address:

~ Details of Internet2 NET+ Canvas agreement model 
~ Overview of the Internet2 NET+ Service development process


~ How universities can participate and the benefits they receive from this unique offering 

~ How to engage students via integration with modern web sites and devices 

~ How functionality only possible in the cloud will make life easier for all 

~ How Canvas’ Speedgrader makes grading (with rubrics) up to 70% more efficient 

~ How Canvas’s modern web interface will increase adoption through usability.
