Thanks for trying it! /lib/lsb/init-functions provides the log_*_msg
functions. Maybe those functions aren't as standard in the LSB as the
file path would indicate? The start-stop-daemon command comes from the
dpkg package, which probably would not be part of a normal Red Hat
system. I guess there's some more work to be done to make it work
everywhere.
