NDT is requires Web100. We are considering re-opening Web100 for additional development and some bug fixes. If NDT is important to you, PLEASE LET US KNOW by answering the questions below. This will help us justify further funding for Web100.
For NDT users we need to ask an additional question:
1A) Are you using Web00 kernels that you built yourself or are you using the perfSONAR ISO image?
(I will forward NDT responses to the I2 folks as well).
Thanks,

Subject: IMPORTANT: Web100 users
We are considering re-opening the web100 project for additional development.
IMPORTANT Please let me know ASAP:
1) How many system do you have that are running web100 kernels?
2) How many times have you wanted to use web100 but have not been unable to, either due to missing features, problems building kernels or other bugs? (Details would be helpful).
3) Would you be willing to provide us with letters to funding agencies, indicating the importance of web100 to your work and the community at large?
(It would be best to send your replies just to me, cc'd above, and not the entire list.)
I am astonished to realize that today, ~5 years beyond the end-of-funding, the kernel patch is still being downloaded from 100-200 different IP addresses every month. We have been able to keep it up to date on John's donated time and resources on the margins of other projects.
We are considering some combination of an incremental update to web100, and trying to push a non-prototype implementation of the TCP-ESTATS-MIB (RFC 4898) into production kernels. This latter task might also include some shim code to permit existing Web100 tools and libraries to access the standard MIB.
You are welcome to let us know what would be most valuable to you (but only after you have answered the above three questions).
Thanks,
--MM--
