By selecting "Other Linux(64 bit)" under the OPTIONS tab in the VIRTUAL
MACHINES PROPERTIES window, that allowed me to select the E1000 network
adapter. I have not seen any adverse affects from this selection as of yet.

In the lab, I have been able to get up to approximately 850mbs results from
NDT tests. In the field we don't have anything above 350mbs for now. So far
in the real world tests I get pretty accurate results. The only issue I seem
to have is the "sleep" or "timeout" issue I discussed before.

No issues with bandwidth constriction by the VM? I would think there was a
chance that this could unintentionally change the results.
