Dear Colleagues,


On behalf of Internet2 staff and the Member Meeting Program Committee, I
am pleased to announce that the Call for Participation for the Spring
2006 Internet2 Member Meeting, scheduled for April 24 - 26 in Arlington,
VA  is now available for your response.   This Call for
Participation includes a Call for Proposals, Call for Side Meetings and
Call for Posters.   Details for each of the calls as well as
the individual submission forms are all linked from the Call for
Participation at:

The Spring 2006 Member Meeting will focus on issues in advanced
networking strategies and policy and will highlight Internet2's
partnerships within academia, industry, government and the international
community.  Specifically, the areas of concentration for the meeting
will include,  Advancing Applications: What's Working? What's Not?
What's Needed?; Middleware; Network Planning and Engineering; Security
for Advanced Networks; and Teaching and Learning/K20. The Advancing
Applications track will focus on case study examples of applications that
have worked and that have not worked, with a strong focus on why and
what's needed. New for this Member Meeting is a special series of panel
discussions on "What's Next for the Net?" which will examine
key technology trends and give corporate presenters (and others)
opportunities to describe new technological breakthroughs in their field
and what they might mean for universities and the Internet2
community.

As there will not be a separate call for demos, presentations that
incorporate demos are encouraged.  The proposal submission form is

Member Meetings afford the Internet2 community excellent opportunities to
share innovations and ideas.  Please consider submitting a proposal
to present at the Spring 2006 Member Meeting and please redistribute this
call broadly throughout your organization.
