Dear colleagues:

The Fall 2003 Internet2 Member Meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana, October 
13-16, is rapidly approaching.  Many of you have registered already, but 
for those of you who haven't I want to send you a reminder that on Friday, 
September 26 at 5pm EDT, a late registration fee of $50 will be in 
effect.  There is no cutoff for online registration; however, after 5pm EDT 
on Friday, October 10, you will have to complete the registration process 
on site.

Between the plenaries, concurrent track sessions, demos, special interest 
group meetings, working group meetings, birds-of-a-feather sessions, 
tutorials, and just seeing your colleagues face-to-face at social events 
and in the hallways, attendees will be able to hear about current and 
planned work in a wide range of areas and participate in discussions about 
the future of advanced networking and technologies for higher 
education.  In addition to the sessions on security, international 
collaborations, optical networking, federations, directories, teaching and 
learning applications of advanced networking, bandwidth management and file 
sharing, and many many more, attendees will be able to attend open sessions 
of two Internet2 Advisory Councils (the Network Planning and Policy 
Advisory Council on Monday at 4pm and the Applications Strategy Council on 
Tuesday at 1:15pm) covering their current priorities and strategies, 
participate in topic-specific roundtable discussions over lunch on Tuesday 
and on working group activities over lunch on Wednesday, and provide input 
into thinking about Internet2 dues increases at lunchtime on Wednesday.

A number of sessions will be netcast, so for those who can't join us in 
Indianapolis there will be opportunities to join us virtually.  The general
