MAGPI is pleased to partner with Allegheny Connect, Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3, and Animal Friends and on this special World Rabies Day 

videoconference program. 

Rabies: Understand It to Delete it! World Rabies Day 2013 Videoconference 

Target Audience: Students in Grades 8-10 

Date: Friday Sept. 27th 

Time: 8:00 am - 10:00 am EDT

Cost: Free! 

Requirements: Access to H.323 videoconference equipment and connection to state/regional/national advanced network. 

World Rabies Day events have educated 182 million people and vaccinated 7.7 million animals worldwide!

The goal of World Rabies Day is to mobilize awareness and resources in support of human rabies prevention and animal rabies control. Through presentation and Q&A, we'll explore the prevalence and impact of rabies in Western PEnnsylvania, nationwide and in other countries worldwide. Students will be joined by  Erin Moore, DVM, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Animal Health. Meets PA state standards such as 4.1.10.A and 10.1.12.E.
