Dear Education and Videoconferencing People,

Hello! 

Last week I co-faciltated a videoconference between 

students at the Indian Institute of Technology - Madras

(in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India -- where I live), and 

students at the American University in Cairo.

Many thanks to Prof Mohamed Fahmy Menza (and students) 

of the American University in Cairo for partnering with us 

for this event!

The session topic was, "Everyday Creativity: Indian and 

Egyptian Ways of Doing Things". 

Students discussed personal experiences, language, epics, 

social structures, etc.

Any feedback about this event would be most appreciated.

Also, please let me know if you and students -- both K-12 

and university level -- might be interested in participating 

in similar culture-related videoconferences with us here 

in Chennai sometime.

I am in the process of expanding my conception of 

"Ethnographic Videoconferencing" --

to also include the kind of reciprocal cultural discussions

(without prior physically-present fieldwork) that can occur 

in videoconferences between students.
