Subject: [Megacon] My Retirement

I am retiring from OARnet on June 30, for the final time. (I retired for the first time in 2001.)

My life with video conferencing has been very stimulating and allowed many new things to be done.  Long ago we started the Megaconferences, which then blossomed into several follow-ons. I am pleased to see that this this now being carried on by Ben Fineman at Internet2.

I have sent him all my recordings of the Megaconferences and perhaps some day they will be publicly available. This list was started to coordinate the Megaconferences, and has since broadened greatly to be a resource for all things related to video conferencing.

It has been my great pleasure to work with all of you.

I will still be around, reading this list and maybe popping up here and there.

Bob
