Hi, i try to develop a sample SP based on openSAML2. I would like to
implement SSO Artifact but i have seen in the Javadoc that a class that would
help me very much is not yet fully implemented :
org.opensaml.saml2.binding.decoding.HTTPArtifactDecoder
Yes, it didn't make it into 2.0. Aside from some minor supporting components that we will need, like resolving sourceID's, the main missing required component we need for this is the client side for SOAP binding support (for sending/receiving the back-channel artifact resolution messages), which also didn't make it into 2.0.
When do you (Developpers) plan to implement it?
We're currently trying to prioritize features to work on for the next couple of minor version releases, and the artifact decoders are definitely on the list. I don't have an exact time frame at the moment, but I would tentatively say not sooner than 2 months (for a supported release version - might be in the source tree sooner than that), but probably less than 6 months. But we'll see.
I am very interesting to test it!
Yes, so are we. :-)
