Hi All,

 

Following up on the request from the group last week during our breakout meeting on Tuesday October 14, i've created a new listserv, hosted by I2, to facilitate discussion about how the K20 initiative can help facilitate adoption of I2 innovation down to the k-12 school level (as well as other K20 constituent groups).  Here are the people i've subscribed so far:

Let me know if i've missed anyone who indicated interest in joining this group.  As for an initial work agenda, we discussed the following:

 

1.)  identifying a few individual teachers in each state who are already expert technology users in the classroom and have robust and supported tech. infrastructure at their schools.

2.)  identify 2 or 3 projects that are ready for prime time and begin promoting these projects with the teachers we have identified (Jason was discussed as was the lewis and clark project)

3.)  James will make the myK20 system able to associate people with projects they are interested  - in selecting a project in this fashion they will be subscribed to some kind of communication medium (listerv or bulletin board) so people with similar interests can begin conversations around projects they are participating in.  We've begun work on this but have not reached 100% functionality yet.  I'll keep the group posted on progress.
