The NAPTR query you reference will NEVER work.  That zone does not  
exist.

Try this one:

   dig NAPTR 4.3.2.1.256.freenum.org.

As for the PCH anycast responders not having the zone: that's  
currently almost fixed.  There was a change in BIND at some point  
recently that refuses to transfer zones that have syntax errors.  We  
don't currently have a parser on the web interface, so there were  
about 10 badly formatted records in the system that I've cleaned up.   
It should now transfer, but it may take a bit since the PCH systems  
don't apparently respond to NOTIFY messages from the primary  
authoritative system for the new zone, and they rely on timers that  
are a bit slow.
