Additionally, the meeting will include nearly 60 Track sessions – of which many can be viewed online via netcast, and will cover topic areas focused on Internet2’s new “Path Forward” articulated by CEO, Dave Lambert, including: Cloud Services, Identity Management Federations and Middleware Applications, Advanced Network and Network services leadership, The U.S. Unified Community Anchor Network (U.S. UCAN), National/Regional network organizations collaboration, Global reach and leadership, Research community development and engagement, and Industry partner collaboration critical to the delivery of Internet2’s services. With partners Juniper Networks, Ciena® Corporation and Indiana University (IU), the meeting will also showcase a display of a new Internet2 network node representing the nodes that will be strategically deployed across the nation as part of the Internet2 Network upgrade. The WorldView application developed by the IU Global Research Network Operations Center (GlobalNOC), which provides a real-time, 3D map view of national network connections will accompany the demonstration. In addition to the plenary and track sessions, over 80 side meetings are planned. Working, special interest and birds-of-a-feather group sessions with topics ranging from multicasting, to high energy and nuclear physics, to teaching and learning will give delegates important opportunities to interact. The chance to collaborate face-to-face, learn from other members and advance community projects has always been one of the Member Meeting's major draws.
