Summer ESCC/Internet2 Joint Techs Workshop to Highlight Latest in Advanced
Networking Technology and Applications  

Register now for workshop hosted by University of Nebraska-Lincoln, July
20-24, 2008

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - June 13, 2008 - Registration is still open for the ESnet
Site Coordinating Committee (ESCC) and Internet2 Summer Joint Techs Workshop
set to be held 20-24 July. Hosted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the
conference brings together thought leaders in the research and education
community to explore and discuss important technology issues and the latest
advancements in next-generation networking.  

Since 1998, the Joint Techs Workshop has drawn together advanced networking
engineers and featured tutorials, presentations, Birds-of-a-Feather
meetings, in-depth technical sessions, and demonstrations of
state-of-the-art high-performance networking technologies. 

The upcoming workshop will have four main focus areas including: 1) The
Coming Crisis in Routing and Networking, 2) Campus Networking, 3) Wide Area
Networking Issues, and 4) Security. A general schedule of events surrounding

**Date Reminders**
The cutoff for the Holiday Inn Hotel block is *July 7, 2008* at midnight
CST. While the room block for the Embassy Suites is currently sold out for
Monday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 22, registrants may wish to contact the
hotel in case of cancellations. Deadline for the Embassy Suites hotel block
is *June 27, 2008* Registration fees increase after midnight EDT on *July 4,
2008* 

**PLEASE NOTE**
There is a city-wide event taking place in Lincoln, NE concurrent with the
Joint Techs workshop; this means hotel space will be *very tight.* Please
secure your room reservation as soon as possible.
