and Community Strategic Planning Efforts

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - April 17, 2008 - Internet2 will hold its annual Spring
Member Meeting from April 21-23, 2008 in Arlington, VA. The meeting brings
together nearly 600 hundred leaders from research and education to address
key advances in high performance networking and leading-edge Internet
technologies. The meeting encompasses a diverse roster of presentations,
sessions, working group gatherings, and workshops in areas such as dynamic
circuit networking, advancements and adoption of middleware capabilities,
security on high-performance networks, as well as presentations on advanced
applications.

Internet2 will netcast live select member meeting sessions for worldwide

planning progress as well as provide a venue to announce the 2008 Internet2
Driving Exemplary Applications (IDEA) award winners.

The second general session will feature a keynote from John Curran, founder
and chairman of the American Registry of Internet Numbers (ARIN). The
session will also host a panel discussion on the recently released
"Blueprint for Big Broadband," a report developed by EDUCAUSE that provides
