On the subject of the Activity Widget…

 

I have often wanted to:

                ) change the number of things that are seen ( generally more, but only when the thing I want to see “has rolled off the list” )

                                The current default length is fine. Although, sometimes you need more history to see the present more clearly.

 

From an admin’s perspective ONLY (or maybe via the “act as” model),

                )  “set the user” for the widget to be able to review what “bob” did recently.

                                Could be helpful in troubleshooting a user asking for help. (“ Why did you do “X”??? Oh.. that’s the problem…. “)

Recent activity is recent activity that the user did.  So its useful since users might be trying to do a similar thing they have done previously

I posted this question over on the Slack channel but thought I would try over here on the listserv…

 

Since we'll have a high number of IT Pros across multiple units using Grouper _as a service_, is there some way to turn off the New UI "Recent Activity" widget by default for non-admins? Seems like for a normal user, they'll just see a ton of "User added/removed from Unknown group" since they won't have visibility to most or all groups by default.
