Reviving this earlier post.

Following an upgrade from Grouper 2.2.2 to 2.3.0, we too  have encountered the
issue of the psp stalling with the  error java.lang.IllegalStateException:
Stopwatch already started.
As per Bert Bee-Lindgren's  post, the cause does indeed appear to be NULL 
CONTEXT_ID values. Similar to Jeffrey Crawford's post, the issue was resolved
by performing a full sync and updating the psp GROUPER_CHANGE_LOG_CONSUMER
entry beyond the NULL CONTEXT_ID sequence number.

However in our case once the initial issue cleared, new NULL CONTEXT_ID
records are still being generated. Instead of the Stopwatch error, these now
cause a psp  Null pointer error as detailed below. The common factor still 
appears to be the NULL CONTEXT_ID value. 

We encountered the Stopwatch error on both our Dev and Test instances. So  far
we are only encountering the Null pointer error on  our Test instance,
possibly because our Dev instance is not fully operational. Similar to
Jeffrey, we did perform some initial testing of pspng on our Dev instance.
This might explain theDev server data issues, but we have definitely  not run
pspng at all on  our Test instance.

Can anyone advise?
