I think you can do this with Grouper Loader. Have a look at the bit about rollup groups at https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/Organization+hierarchies+via+the+grouper+loader
The bit that starts: “Below is the org rollup config (adds child groups (not grandchild etc) to the parent. The grandchild is effectively a member since it is a cihld of the child...”
I think that’s what you’re after.
Thanks for the tip, Dave, but I'd want instantaneous like Chris said.
Chris, I don't "need" it - can certainly work without it. It's just for one use case, and I don't hear anyone else clamoring for such a feature.
