I would use the loader. This doc might help:
https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/Organization+hierarchies+via+the+grouper+loader
loader jobs need either a subject_id col or a subject_identifier col, in this
case get the group name to be a subject_identifier col. Ok?
Thanks
Chris

A recurring job for a while. The source is a manually updated organizational
hierarchy (after some time we'll switch to grouper as the authoritative
source.) Just 4 levels of organizational definition.
So loader will work with empty subject_id?
I'll look at GSH export also.

Is it a one time sync or a recurring sync? If recurring, yes, a loader job
should work.
If one time job, are you familiar with the GSH export? Is it from one env to
another where groups have same name?
Give me more detailed information and I can help you out.
Loader jobs can work from subject_identifier which is the group name, so that
can work...
Thanks
Chris

I'm creating a gsh script to sync groups (without members) from another
source and I'm wondering if it's possible to do that with a loader job.
Looks like loader jobs need subject_id, and these are empty so I don't have
one.
