Might not work for all loader sizes, but I just join to subject table over a
DB link for that. But yes, that seems like a good feature
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
I can work around it right now. The data should probably be cleaned up.
If I needed this feature, though, it would probably be from a database I
couldn't clean up easily, so I would probably want to limit it to just that
database.
Thanks,
Carl

Subject: RE: Loader error about missing subject
We've debated this one in the past, and it is currently on our roadmap
https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/Grouper+Product+Roadmap
The issue was if the subject was not resolvable by mistake then it will be
removed from the group (which might be a mistake). So what I do at Penn is I
have a SQL table of subjects and join my loader SQL's to that so that the
results are always resolvable. (e.g. pre-provisioning wont work until the
subject exists)
Anyways, can you do something like that, or at least in the meantime or is it
important that you get a patch for this? Also, it would be a system-wide
setting right? Not different for different loader jobs?
Thanks,
Chris

Subject: [grouper-users] Loader error about missing subject
I have a loader job that pulls from an Oracle DB.
The job failed with an error about a missing subject:
2015-09-22 10:34:55,320: [main] ERROR
GrouperLoaderResultset$Row.getSubject(1399) - - Problem with subjectId:
fisherp, subjectSourceId: ldap, in jobName: lc:ref:role:banner:nonvoters
edu.internet2.middleware.subject.SubjectNotFoundException: No results:
searchSubject filter:(&(uid=%TERM%)(objectclass=person)) searchValue: fisherp
The subject is in fact, *not* in my subject source. However, I would like
Grouper to ignore the missing subjects rather than throw an error and stop
the job.
Is there a simple setting to ignore missing subjects in the loader?
Thanks,
