I upgrade our test copy of Grouper from 2.1 to 2.2 following the 
directions at 
https://spaces.internet2.edu/display/Grouper/v2.2+Upgrade+Instructions+from+v2.1. 
The daily report for that copy of Grouper (under 2.1) had these statistics:

memberships:           17,168,858
groups:                999,897
members:               1,559,413
folders:               208,013

We make extensive use of attributes, and running 
postGrouper2_2Upgrade.gsh took about 53 hours. When it completed, the 
grouper_change_log_entry_temp table had over 4 million entries. When I 
ran the Grouper Loader, it started processing those entries at a rate of 
about 500/minute, which means it will take about 5 days to get caught 
up. Is it necessary for the Grouper Loader to process those entries, or 
could I safely truncate the table?
