Just for reference I fixed the issue.

 

I had to remove:

                <tag name="login-config" type="single"/>

                <tag name="security-role" key="role-name"/>

        -->

 

From the web-xml-merge-tags.xml file to resolve the issue.

I have removed all the security constraints from the web.core.xml file yet everytime I build using ant (first ant clean, then ant war) I get the security constraints in the web.xml.

 

Any ideas?
